Why I start with two or three homepage concepts
The homepage is the whole project on one screen. Two or three directions show the choice before anyone commits to a full site.
I don’t design the whole site first. I design the homepage two or three ways, because that is where the offer, the audience and the tone have to agree.
What actually changes between concepts
Not the logo size. The order of the story: whether the page leads with the offer, with proof, or with a short explanation of how the work runs. You pick a direction, and the rest of the site follows it.
The quote comes after the direction
A price before the concept is a guess. Once the homepage direction is chosen, the scope is visible: how many templates, what the forms do, which languages ship in the first version.
